Second Stitch – Week 2

Hubby Scarf – Chain 1

My hubby Larry is one of those great guys that indulges me when it come to just about anything, no questions asked (within reason) especially when it comes to my yarn stash. So recently while shopping at our local Wally World (Walmart) I glided by the semi sad yarn aisle n looked to see if there were any recent additions to the stock. This is the store where the passion/obsession of Lion Brand Mandala yarn commenced. Nope nothing, perhaps I had something to do with that ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‰.

I keep a list on my iPhone of what I have in my cube system n I knew I never grabbed a cake of the color way Spirit. It’s shades of blues & grays, not my favorite but I decided to grab one. I decided Larry needs a scarf to match his everyday winter coat, since just about everyone of my female relatives, friends or coworkers I know now had one.

When I finally found Larry in the store I told him I found the perfect color for him, to make a scarf for his Columbia coat. I murmured to myself as to what stitch to use, since my go-to stitch for scarfs was too girly. He quickly said how about the Waffle Stitch? You know the one you used on that Afghan. I was floored, he actually does pay attention to my crocheting!

Last night I made an effort while watching TV and I finished the scarf.

One good turn deserves another. Love my Larry.

Now I really do need to finish the other scarf I started 2 years ago for him, a afghan/Tunisian stitch version of the Harry Potter Movies Slitherian scarf. Not that he ever stayed awake for a Harry Potter movie, he wanted the colors of the bad guys. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜œ
